Kim Abramowitz - Registered Psychotherapist,

Art Therapist & Artist

Kim is a Registered Psychotherapist and Art Therapist. Kim has extensive experience providing Psychotherapy and Art Therapy to children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and families. Kim’s experience includes working alongside multidisciplinary teams providing individual and group counselling with a focus on emotional regulation, anxiety, mood, executive functions, ADHD, self-esteem, social skills, coping with family changes, parenting support, and partner support. Kim draws upon Client-Centred, Strength-Based, and Cognitive Behavioural strategies in her work with clients. Kim develops meaningful therapeutic relationships, encourages self-expression and creativity, facilitates clients along their journey toward self-awareness, provides helpful strategies, and strives to improve the quality of life of clients.

 

When she is not working as a Psychotherapist and Art Therapist, Kim focuses on creating her own artwork. Kim understands and values the benefits of engaging with art materials through the work that she does as an Art Therapist, as well as through her own practice, which she views as a form of self-care.
